You will get a website that is ready to run without the need for any further coding from you!

We will change the website's displayed Company Name from Photofolio to anything you like.

  Each category can feature as many images as you like! There is no limit. Each large image is displayed in a carousel, giving the option to the user to freeze the sequence and view detailed image information

The Content Management System (included in the price) allows the administrator secure, password protected access in order to:

• Update the various news postings, biography and disclaimer text content
  
• Update the names of the various image categories for your gallery. These are the names that appear at the bottom of the Main Screen's navigation bar when you roll over an image thumbnail (e.g. Gallery: Landscapes)
  
• Upload or update images, thumbnails and their text descriptions for each of the portfolio's categories and commissions without the need to know Flash or have Macromedia's Flash MX 2004 software!
  Changes are automatically reflected on the Flash website!
  
• Create or manage existing portfolio image categories
• Control access to password restricted image viewing (included in DHTML/Flash Hybrid version only)

Log in to both using the username: guest and password: guest (most browsers will log you in automatically)

For the purposes of this demontration only, you will not be able to save the changes you make to the content. This is to ensure that the presentability of our product is maintained. The final product allows you to do all the changes you want!

This is a password-protected area that allows you to update the content of your website including photographs, news and image details online, without the need for any knowledge of programming languages, HTML, Flash or anything like that! You can add and remove images from your collection as well as manage the rest of the content at the click of a button

 

Do I need to know technical, web-related stuff? - Back to top

NO! All you need to know is how to resize an image in Photoshop (or similar package), export it as JPEG and use your web browser to upload it to the site through an easy-to-use interface. No programming skills required! Provided that you have signed up with a web hosting service such as Brinkster (e.g. Windows Professional Plan at USD$7.95/month), Fasthosts (e.g. Windows Standard Plan GBP3.99/month) or equivalent (see below) we will go in ourselves, do all the configuration work for you FOR FREE and deliver a website that's ready to run!

You need a web-hosting account with one of the many providers out there so that you can host your website online and make it available for others to visit 24/7.

You can get one from Brinkster (e.g. Windows Professional Plan USD7.95/month) (click here to open a new window for details of their pricing) which is what we recommend because they're reliable, cheap and our website has been tried and tested with them (it currently runs on there!). Look also at Fasthosts (e.g. Windows Standard Plan GBP3.99/month), a UK-based company.

In any case though, any other web hosting service of your preference should work fine as long as they use a file upload and E-mail component (ASPEmail or CDO for the e-mail and ASPUpload for the image upload), they can run ASP, use an MSAccess Database through ADO and allow write permissions to a specific folder for the content management system's picture uploads.

PLEASE NOTE: If you get your web hosting from Brinkster (e.g. Windows Professional Plan USD7.95/month) or another hosting company such as Fasthosts (e.g. Windows Standard Plan GBP3.99/month), that satisfies the above requirements, we will prepare, upload and configure your website online and ready to be visited by others FOR FREE so that ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS UPLOAD YOUR IMAGES through our easy to use online system AND START PROMOTING YOUR WORK ONLINE!

The only condition we set which you must accept if you make this purchase is that you are not allowed to re-sell the website (both the Flash and the CMS component) or any part thereof of the source code or final compiled products and know-how anywhere (including and especially not on eBay) once it has been sold to you...

Once the website we have sold to you is up and running and once we have added your business title as a free customisation, we will not be able to add any new features to it or customise it further for you (i.e. add a little new feature here or there) UNLESS you have Macromedia Flash MX 2004 and know how to use it so that you can make the changes yourself or you want to consider a customisation job from us which will be billed separately after discussion with you.
In any case, the full source code is yours so if you know what you're doing with Macromedia Flash MX 2004, making changes shouldn't be a problem.
We'll be happy to provide you with any information regarding the existing source code.
