Users can access images either by visiting a particular category from the always-present Category Drop-down menu or enter the keywords of their preference and perform a simple or Advanced search to look for a specific image.

  You can now sell the images you list on Photofolio Pro directly from your website via PayPal to anyone with a credit card (PayPal no longer requires users to register with them so it's even easier for your customers).
  You specify the images you want to sell via an easy to use Image Management back-end. You then upload the high-resolution versions of the images for sale and specify a price for each different format (e.g. A3-TIFF: $250, A4-PSD: $200, A3-JPEG: $200).

The Website Administration and Content Management system website offers you the following:

• NEW!! Full e-commerce management of image and subscription sales. You decide what images to sell, in what formats and sizes, how much each format and size is going to cost and how these images will be made available.
  Once these parameters are set, image sales are taken care of automatically! All you do is sit back and get paid for them... No need for e-mailing pictures around!
  The subscription manager offers you a combination of options in case you do not want to sell images (only) directly on a one-to-one basis but want instead to allow users to purchase groups of images as part of a subscription.
  Allocate "download credits" or allow a subscription to run for a specified time or both!
  The website is fully integrated with PayPal and gets notified automatically when a payment has been validated so that image access rights can be released.
  Users can also buy their subscriptions through your site and you can also offer promotional subscriptions to your users for free!
  
  
• Comprehensive Image Management area for uploading and updating images and their details on a one-to-one basis or as a batch.
  Keywords (with built-in keyword suggestion tool), multiple-categories, notes and other information can be individually modified or retrieved automatically through the image's EXIF/IPTC File Information meta-data.

  You don't need to convert your images into JPEGs and have to play around with different compression settings each time. The website will do this for you.

  Worried about people downloading and using your pictures without your permission?
  Well, now you can watermark them! Each picture you upload to your site, gets "stamped" with the name of your website at the bottom left corner.
  In addition to that, you can also choose to have a faint watermark image of your choice superimposed as a thin layer over your actual picture.
  All images on our demo site are appearing in this way (hence the big faint yellow smiley!)
  You can of course choose not to have anything on top of your lovely images and keep them clean...

If you want to log-in as a website visitor and don't want to register, please use the username demo and password demo (all in lower case).
Please note that this demo account does not allow you to make changes to your profile or modify the lightboxes. This is to ensure the presentability of the demonstration. You can however register for your own account with the site in order to be able to fully use it as a regular user.

This is what controls the content and functionality of the website.
Log in to both using the username: guest and password: guest (most browsers will log you in automatically)

For the purposes of this demontration only, you will not be able to save the changes you make to the content. This is to ensure that the presentability of our product is maintained. The final product allows you to do all the changes you want!

This password-protected area allows you to update the content of your website including photographs, text and image details, send newsletters etc. online, without the need for any knowledge of programming languages, HTML, JavaScript or anything like that! You can add and remove images from your collection as well as manage the rest of the content at the click of a button

Do I need to have a PayPal account and do I have to sell my images directly over the site? - Back to top

NO! The website functions perfectly well without the e-commerce component being active. All you do is disable the sales and no images or image access subscriptions will be offered for sale via the site. This is purely up to you! But the option is there if you want to enable it in the future. If you do want to sell pictures though, you will have to sign up with PayPal for a free Merchant Account which will allow you to accept payments from all major credit cards, cheques etc. without requiring users to re-register with PayPal. Setup with PayPal takes only a few minutes and earnings are deposited directly into your bank account.
Please note! While the current version supports PayPal out of the box, we will be more than happy to customise the website to work with another payment gateway if you already have one or want something other than PayPal. Just ask us first!

Do I need to know technical, web-related stuff? - Back to top

NO! All you need to know is how to take pretty pictures and use your web browser to upload them to the site through an easy-to-use interface. No programming skills required! Provided that you have signed up with a web hosting service such as Brinkster (e.g. Windows Professional Plan at USD$7.95/month) or equivalent (see below) we will even go in ourselves, do all the configuration work for you FOR FREE and deliver a website that's ready to run!

You need a Free PayPal Merchant account ONLY if you intend on selling your pictures via the website

You also need a web-hosting account with one of the many providers out there so that you can host your website online and make it available for others to visit 24/7.

You can get one from Brinkster (e.g. Windows Professional Plan USD7.95/month) (click here to open a new window for details of their pricing) which is what we recommend because they're reliable, cheap and our website has been tried and tested with them (it currently runs on there!).

In any case though, any other web hosting service of your preference should work fine as long as:

• They can run ASP (Active Server Pages - not ASP.net)
• They allow the use of an MSAccess Database through ADO
• They allow write permissions to specific folders within your website (required for the content management system's picture uploads)
• They use or allow you to use pre-installed or install yourself the following server components
  • SMTPSVG, ASPEmail or CDO for sending out e-mails through the website and the Newsletter system
  • ASPUpload for the image uploads
  • ASPImage for processing the images, resizing them and adding watermarks and captions

PLEASE NOTE: If you get your web hosting from Brinkster (e.g. Windows Professional Plan USD7.95/month) or another hosting company that satisfies the above requirements, we will prepare, upload and configure your website online and ready to be visited by others FOR FREE so that ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS UPLOAD YOUR IMAGES through our easy to use online system AND START PROMOTING YOUR WORK ONLINE!

This website is the perfect accessory to any camera or camera body you ever bought. Whether you have a cheap digital or film compact camera or an expensive Canon EOS, Nikon, Pentax etc. this website will help you put your pictures online with style!

The only condition we set which you must accept if you make this purchase is that you are not allowed to re-sell the website (both the Front-end and the CMS component) or any part thereof of the source code or final compiled products and know-how anywhere (including and especially not on eBay) once it has been sold to you...
